Figma AI Terms

Effective Date

These Figma AI Terms (these “Figma AI Terms”) are between Figma, Inc. (“Figma”) and the customer agreeing to these Figma AI Terms (“Customer”). If you are agreeing to these Figma AI Terms on behalf of a company (such as your employer) or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that company or other legal entity to these Figma AI Terms. In that case, “Customer” refers to that company or other legal entity. These Figma AI Terms are expressly incorporated into Customer’s existing customer agreement with Figma (the “Customer Agreement”). These Figma AI Terms will govern if they conflict with any of the other terms in the Customer Agreement. These Figma AI Terms do not apply to Figma Weave.

1. Access to Figma AI. Figma AI is made available to Customer on the terms and conditions that apply to the Figma Platform in the Customer Agreement. Just like when Customer uses the Figma Platform generally, Customer is responsible for using Figma AI in accordance with Figma’s Acceptable Use Policy available at www.figma.com/aup/. “Figma AI” means feature(s) and functionality made available by Figma that are identified by Figma as artificial intelligence (AI) features. For clarity, Figma Weave is not considered “Figma AI” and these Figma AI Terms do not apply to Figma Weave.

2. Input, Output, and Ownership. Customer may provide or make available prompts, images, materials, files, and other content to Figma AI (“Input”), and receive images, materials, files, and other content (such as code) generated and returned by Figma AI based on that Input (“Output”). Input and Output are Customer Content. As between Customer and Figma, Customer retains all right, title, and interest in Customer’s Input and Output, and Figma retains all right, title, and interest in the Figma Platform (including improvements and enhancements to the Figma Platform, along with new products and features). “Customer Content” means the applications and materials that Customer develops on or uploads to the Figma Platform.

3. Training Figma AI. When “Content Training” is toggled on within Customer’s administrative user settings, Figma may use Customer Content to maintain, improve, and enhance Figma’s products and services by training machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and models. Learn more about the steps Figma takes to protect customers’ privacy here.

4. Controlling AI Settings. If Customer’s “Content Training” toggle is on and an administrative user later toggles it off, new Customer Content and edits added after the date the toggle was turned off will not be used to train AI models. For more information on the Content Training toggle, visit this Help Center article.

5. AI Limitations. Output is generated by artificial intelligence. Output is not verified by Figma for accuracy and does not represent Figma’s views. Figma makes no warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Output and will in no way be liable or responsible for Customer’s use of Output or any omissions or errors in Output. Customer is responsible for evaluating Output for accuracy and suitability for Customer’s use case, including by employing human review of Output and obtaining any relevant clearances.

6. Figma AI Credits. Figma offers two different plans that allow Customer to purchase Figma AI credits (“Credits”) to supplement Credits included with a seat (“Seat Credits”). The AI Credits Plan (“AI Credits Plan”) is a subscription that allows Customer to prepay for a set number of Credits, giving Customer access to additional Credits that refresh monthly during Customer’s subscription term. The Pay-As-You-Go Plan (“PAYG Plan”) allows Customer to pay for Credits as they are consumed. Credits that are included with a seat are personal to the Authorized User, while Credits from the AI Credits Plan are pooled across Customer’s organization or team and PAYG usage may be incurred by any Authorized User. Unless stated otherwise, Credits are consumed in the following order: (i) Credits included in the applicable Authorized User’s seat, (ii) Credits available to Customer under the AI Credits Plan, and (iii) PAYG Plan charges for any Credits consumed that exceed the Credits included with a seat or from a previously purchased AI Credits Plan. For clarity, if Customer upgrades its AI Credits Plan, previously incurred PAYG Plan charges still apply.

6.1. Seat Credits. Every seat comes with a set number of Credits, depending on Customer’s Figma subscription and seat type as described in the Documentation. Seat Credits are assigned to individual users, reset monthly, and can’t be shared or transferred.

6.2. AI Credits Plan.

6.2(a). Organization and Enterprise Plan. For Customers on an Organization or Enterprise plan, the AI Credits Plan is an annual subscription that aligns with Customer’s existing Figma subscription term, including any auto-renewal terms. The AI Credits Plan is billed and payable annually in advance. Credits are provided on a monthly basis and expire at the end of each month. The same billing, payment, renewal, and cancellation terms as Customer’s underlying Figma subscription apply. Customer’s AI Credits Plan added or upgraded during the subscription term will be charged from the date of purchase and prorated to the end of the subscription term. Customer’s AI Credits Plan that has been added or upgraded will be added to the next quarterly invoice (every 3 months of the subscription term) when applicable. If Figma has notified Customer that it will receive a proration of pre-paid, unused fees from an AI Credits Plan related to an early renewal, upgrade, org merge or similar event, such proration is based solely on the time remaining in the subscription term, and not on the number of unused Credits

6.2(b). Professional Plan. For Customers on either an annual or monthly Professional plan, the AI Credits Plan is a monthly subscription that automatically renews and is charged monthly in advance to Customer’s existing payment method, unless Customer cancels the AI Credits Plan in the Admin dashboard. Cancellation of the AI Credits Plan is effective at the end of the then-current monthly subscription term. If Customer purchases or upgrades an AI Credits Plan mid-month, the fees will be prorated to the end of the subscription month, and added to Customer’s next invoice. Credits are provided on a monthly basis and expire at the end of each subscription month.

6.3. PAYG Plan. The PAYG Plan allows Customer to pay for Credits as they are consumed. Customer may enable or disable the PAYG Plan and set or modify a budget for its PAYG Plan at any time through the Figma admin dashboard. Credits consumed under the PAYG Plan are charged at the prices in effect at the time of enrollment in the PAYG Plan, and such prices may be changed by Figma with at least 30 days’ prior notice. For clarity, any budget changes or pricing changes apply prospectively to charges incurred after the effective date of the change. Customer is responsible for all Credits consumed by its Authorized Users under the PAYG Plan. PAYG Plan charges are billed to Customer’s existing payment method monthly in arrears for Professional customers and quarterly in arrears for Organization and Enterprise customers.

6.4. Credit Expiration and Limitations. Credits (i) do not represent legal tender, currency, or stored value; (ii) are not redeemable for monetary value; (iii) are not exchangeable or transferable; (iv) can only be used for Figma AI features on the Figma Platform; and (v) expire at the end of each month and do not rollover. Figma Weave is not considered “Figma AI” and Credits do not apply to Figma Weave. Promotional Credits provided by Figma free of charge are considered an Early Access Feature.

7. Miscellaneous. Figma may update these Figma AI Terms in the same manner that Figma may update the Customer Agreement. Figma AI made available in beta is also governed by the beta terms found in the Customer Agreement or, if there are no beta terms in the Customer Agreement, then in Figma’s Terms of Service. Any capitalized terms that are used but not defined in these Figma AI Terms will have the meaning given to those terms in the Customer Agreement. If the term “Figma Platform” is not used in the Customer Agreement, Figma Platform has the same meaning as the term used to refer to Figma’s products and services.
